We are back!
Well, we’ve been back for like a few weeks now. I have been pretty busy since I came back which is a good thing, keeps me out of trouble.
Anyway, we made it back from our trip in one piece. It was a pretty exciting trip. Let me sum all the interesting things that happened during our trip. There is probably more news, but here’s the high light. All this happened in 2.5 weeks!
* Someone planned a bomb in a car in central London
* Some guy drove into the Glasgow airport with bomb in car
* Massive flooding all over England
* England stop smoking in all pubs and restaurants
* Gordon Brown became the Prime Minister
* Biggest drug bust Ireland has ever seen off the coast of Kerry
* Some guy was murdered and dumped on the street of Dublin
* 12th of July Parade for Ann's’ birthday
* Protest about treatment of dogs in housing in Dublin
(I got tired of finding the links and pasting them, I am sure you can google them yourselves.)
There were also lots of other things that went on as well. There was the Live earth concert, Diana concert, Oxegen, Wimbelton. (We didn’t make it to any of these things, but did see it on TV! When you watch TV at where the event is at it’s almost as good as being there... )
I guess summer is where it’s at when it comes to going to UK/Ireland. Who knew there would be so much activities.
Full of excitement I say. Despite all the terrorist happenings in UK, no one seem to be living in fear. People still partied, drank, etc. Have to admire that I suppose. It also rained. I don’t think I have seen so much rain in summer before.
Instead of writing like one long post, I will split it out in a few posts.
I really mean it this time!
On the knitting front, I finished a a hat for my brother. I had a lot of fun knitting it. The hat is called Maze. I was not so pleased when he picked this pattern because it looked hard, but it was actually a lot of fun to knit and fast. Now all I need to do is get him to pick it up....
Until next time!
